Carlton and United Breweries
-
The Brewhouse extension for Carlton and United Breweries was carried out on a construction only basis at their Brewery at Yatala, some 40km south of Brisbane.
The entire project was on a strict programme and had to be co- ordinated with equipment contractors from England.
The development included the Hop store,Yeast room, Mill tower, Beer transfer room and Brewhouse and was constructed on a very restricted site.
The Client wanted to make a showcase of the Brewhouse and to do this used coloured floor tiling and large areas of glazing.
The reason for this was the exposure to the M1 motorway.
In conjunction with the client we believe we achieved this objective.

Condong Co Generation Sugar Mill - Green Energy
-
Condong Cogeneration Project is a competitive biomass fuel supply.
The project will generate a total of 60 MW using extraction/condensing steam turbine-driven generators, fed by high-pressure boilers and involving associated auxiliary equipment and fuel handling plant.
The fuel used is bagasse (a byproduct of the milling process and normally burnt in the fields) and wood, providing NSW with an environmentally friendly power generation solution.
Excess electricity, especially during the non-crushing season, will be fed back into the National Grid.
The project is expected to eliminate pre-harvest and post-harvest burning of cane in the Tweed Valley and supply 130000 tonnes of trash per year to the Sunshine Energy Condong Cogeneration Project.
The project will assist local industry as well as demonstrate to the Australian sugar industry, the most efficient and economic ways to harvest, transport and deliver a secure supply of trash for use as fuel in bio-energy projects.
